About Us
Solarponics Inc. has been operating on the Central Coast since 1975, under the ownership and direction of the company founder, Michael J. Emrich. Mike is a Cal Poly San Luis Obispo Engineering graduate, who has chosen to specialize in renewable energy. Sonarponics has a vision of a sustainably-oriented energy company, that would promote, design, install, service a wide range of energy systems and strategies.
Solarponics Inc.'s sterling reputation brings work from a wide range of local contractors, architects, designers and energy consultants. Solarponics Inc. has installed energy systems for our customers, ranging from a large number of solar hot water systems in the 80s and 90s, innumerable radiant floor heating systems and more recently, to solar electric systems. They have well over 3000 happy customers up and down the Central Coast from Ventura to Monterey.
Solarponics provides peace of mind, guaranteed systems and work, and both ecological savings and monetary savings. Their customers value their increased independence; they love taking control of their power use and ecological impact strategy, instead of being at the mercy of their utility company.

They can design, install and service systems ranging from the sublimely simple to highly-integrated hybrids – Solar Electric/Wind/Radiant/Cogen/Solar Hot Water on grid and off-grid. They can offset part of their client's energy bills, or completely zero their use for the year, and can provide complete battery systems for off-grid or grid-tie backup. They also provide professional, experienced Energy Consulting services for local architects and contractors.
